Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott was such an endearing, engaging and a sweet Teens & YA novel featuring two teenage main characters, Stella and Will who are both patients in the hospital with Cystic Fibrosis that fall in love. Stella Grant has been in and out of hospitals her whole life.
The movie “Five Feet Apart” came out March 15, and is starring Haley Lu Richardson and Cole Sprouse. There is a lot riding on this movie because the book has had such a great effect on people. Between Sprouse and Richardson, along with director, Justin Baldoni, they have made such a touching book come to life.

Five feet apart deals with two characters who are battling cystic fibrosis and other lung problems and slowly begin to like each other. The plot of the book was smooth and some of the dialouges were well-written and heart touching. The characterization of every main character was simply superb but I liked Stella and Will a lot.
It features complex and likeable characters and a romance that any teen can root for. Much like other successful book-to-film adaptations of teens fighting against the odds of their illness The Fault in Our Stars (Penguin, 2014) and Everything, Everything (Ember, 2017), Five Feet Apart is sure to be a hit as well.
Despite common reviews, Five Feet Apart differs from The Fault In Our Stars, although the main characters do have a form of serious lung infection, the story itself is different. I would, however, recommend Five Feet Apart as a form of ‘gateway read’ to books such as The Fault In Our Stars which present heavier themes. Overall, I found this
